Most poses are done while seated or lying down and are held in stillness for 3-5 minutes. Physically, Yin Yoga restores and maintains the natural mobility of the joints, primarily between the navel and the knees. Yin emphasizes stillness and silence and prepares both the body and the mind for a deeper experience during the Gong Meditation in Savasana.
