“Your own Self-Realization is the greatest service you can render the world.” – Ramana Maharshi
Every Monday Evening in Sturgeon Bay
Yin Yoga is a quiet, meditative practice of long-held passive poses that enhance and renew the body’s vital energy, ease joint rigidity, and immobility, and nourish the body at the cellular level. Yin aids with digestion, muscle repair, organ detoxification and emotional processing. The gentle, supported postures allow the connective tissue (ligaments, tendons, joints, and fascia) to strengthen, and with a consistent practice, you will notice postural improvement, increased ease of movement and overall balance of mind, body and spirit. This is the perfect complementary practice to any strength building or cardio exercise as well as an active Yang or Vinyasa practice.
The practice flows directly into Savasana with a Sacred Gong Meditation sealing your practice, uniting energy and spirit. The Gong is one of man’s oldest therapeutic instruments and has been used in yoga, sound meditation and vibrational therapy for ages. Gongs are used for stress reduction, stimulation of the glandular system, and as a facilitator to break up emotional blockages, the perfect compliment to a Yin yoga class.
No previous yoga experience is necessary, appropriate for all ages and levels. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
